VET Reform Programme has entered its new, fifth phase. So far within the Project, administrated by the Ministry of Education, and implemented with the financial and technical assistance from the European Union, over 300 secondary vocational schools from all over the Serbia have been involved. This latest phase, called "EU Assistance to VET in Serbia", is aimed at supporting continuation of the VET reform process. The Project is funded through IPA 2012 Programme.
The fifth phase of the VET Reform Programme is scheduled to run for a period of 24 months (from 16th April 2014 till 15th April 2016) and will be directed, first of all, on strengthening institutional capacities through the support to the implementation of modernised curricula, improvement of govrnment in VET, development and implementation of concept of final and matura exams in VET, further development of national qualifications framework, as well as equipment supply.
Activities of the project will be focused on several areas:
- Assessment and revision of pilot curricula and suport to systematisation of pilot profiles
- Governance of VET
- Implementation of the new concept for matura and final exams in VET
- Further development of National Qualifications Framework (NQF)
- Support to equipment supply
For the implementation of the fifth phase of the VET Reform Programme the European Union has, through the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia, provided funding of €3.75 million. Technical support and assistance to the Ministry of Education in this phase of the reform will be provided by consortium led by the British consultant company WYGI. |
